Description
♻️ Used containers: a useful and engaged choice Choosing a used shipping container means giving a second life to a structure designed to last. After years spent at sea, these containers leave the logistics circuit without being at the end of their useful life. Reusing them reduces the consumption of resources needed to manufacture new equipment. A responsible and economical approach, perfectly suited to large-volume storage needs. 💁 40 ft used Class C High Cube container: who is it for? The 40 ft used High Cube container is intended for users who need a large volume while keeping their budget under control. On the professional side, it allows you to store bulky equipment or materials on construction sites or in operation. On the private side, it offers generous storage space for furniture, equipment or various items. Its additional height makes storage and organisation easier, even for the bulkiest objects. 📐 What does High Cube mean? The 40 ft used High Cube container stands out thanks to its additional 30 cm of height compared with a classic DRY model. It offers 12 % more volume, ideal for loading taller objects or optimising vertical storage. This configuration is also particularly interesting for conversion projects, providing more comfortable interior space day to day. A format designed to meet needs requiring greater volume. 🏅 Condition of the used container: what does Class C mean? The 40 ft used “Class C” shipping container is characterised by a very pronounced level of wear linked to intensive use in maritime conditions: significant corrosion, dents on the walls, a degraded floor, doors that are difficult to manoeuvre… This format is generally chosen for uses where appearance and protection against moisture are not essential. It is an excellent base for conversion projects, easily allowing openings, adaptations or customised fit-outs. Thanks to its particularly attractive price, the Class C represents an interesting option for benefiting from a large volume while leaving room for creativity. 🔍 Is this used container reconditioned? 40 ft Class C containers are offered as is, without complete reconditioning before they are put on the market. Given their very pronounced level of wear, their watertightness is no longer guaranteed and they are not certified “wind & watertight” (WWT). They are no longer suitable for maritime use and may require intervention depending on the project envisaged. Their configuration, in particular their additional height, nevertheless makes them an interesting base for conversion or fit-out projects requiring volume. 🎨 Can I choose the colour of the container? It is not possible to choose in advance the colour of a 40 ft used High Cube Class C container. Each model comes from the international maritime fleet and retains its original colour, often associated with its former shipping company: blue, green, red, burgundy… Over time, this shade can be altered by use, revealing degraded paint, faded areas or rust marks. Available containers are selected randomly from our depots according to arrivals. If appearance matters in your project, we recommend turning to a one-trip container, which makes it possible to choose a custom colour according to a RAL chart. 🔧 How do I maintain my Class C container? The 40 ft Class C used shipping container generally requires reconditioning to be used under good conditions. Its very pronounced level of wear means considering maintenance work oriented towards repair and adaptation to your use. It is recommended to treat areas of corrosion (sanding, anti-rust treatment, painting) and also to intervene on certain structural elements if necessary: patching holes to improve watertightness, refurbishing the floor or adjusting the doors.
